Has anyone tried to use a USB hard drive as a music server in the glovebox?

I have a spare WD 1TB drive here, and was wondering if i would get it to work as a HDD for mp3s.

Has anyone tired it?

Works great for me. I have a 2 gb installed and several artist in seperate file folders. All controls work from the steering wheel too. I do notice it won't scroll songs ...at least not all the time. I found out that if I'm in the USB setting on the radio, pull out the USB flash and plug it back in. It'll scroll fine!

my 250GB WD passport works great too! just needed to format it with fat32.
