Hauling weight limits

I've got a bunch of bags of pea gravel to return to the store. What's the weight limit of what I can put inside my '02 4Runner for hauling?
What's the tow capacity?

I hauled about 800# in back of my 02' for almost 8000 miles.
Has a 3" lift, larger tires and OME 891 springs and better shocks though.
Not sure what the stock capacity in the back would be, but I would think you could get away with at least 10 bags without much problem.

Tow capacity stock I think is supposed to be 5000#

Wouldn't go much over 800-1000 lbs.
GVW is about 5200 lbs.
Towing capacity though is 5000 lbs.

Looking at a 2001 brochure, which should be the same or very close to your 2002.

Payload is listed as:

SR5
2wd 1650 lbs.
4wd 1360 lbs.

Limited
2wd 1540 lbs.
4wd 1275 lbs.
