Have you sold your running boards?

So I am moving at the end of the month to an apartment and realized I still have my running boards sitting in the side yard of my current place. I can't take them with me (unless I re-install them) and I don't really want to give them away. I posted an ad on CL for best offer and haven't had any bites, probabaly because most 3rd Gens already have running boards.

So, those of you who have removed them, were you able to sell them, and if so how much did you ask for? Or should I just toss 'em?

I tried to sell it on CL..

but no dice.. I had it posted for $40 with hardware and the peeps that email me wanted lower prices.. till this day, the boards are still sitting in the garage wrapped in plastics waiting to be sold..

I've seen some people sell them, and some end up giving them away. I put mine on here and CL, and have gotten a couple bites, but no buyers. I'm not too worried since they're stored in my garage. I may try ebay though, people seem to have success there. I'm asking $150 local, or $120 plus shipping on here. Had a couple local offers of $100 and I said yes, but nothing from them after that.

Yeah, I have a friend whose 3rd gen didn't come with them and he wouldn't even take them for free. Haha

I just sold mine for $100. I ended up selling them to a guy in Maryland, but it worked out fine. I had another guy on Craigslist wanting them as well.

I think us rust belters may have it a little easier. these boards tend to rust out and people look for stock relacements. At least that's what I keep telling myself everytime I renew my CL ad.

I got $100 for the set off my '01, and $75 for the set that came off my Wife's 4Runner.

Both sold on Craigslist, but I had them listed for awhile.

It seems like $100 is the going price, huh?

Pretty hit and miss. I sold mine for $100 on CL a couple months ago, took about a week. Then today I see this.

The day mine sold I was gonna edit my add to "trade for a case of beer". Guess patience does pay off...
