Haze on top of Headlights

2013 Owners manual states not to wax headlights or it will cause hazing. Maybe this is something new and maybe the polish removes that thin factory clear coat. I've always waxed the entire vehicle including headlights, rear lights and even windows.

Just scheduled this TSB, as well as the one for the Lumbar and driveshaft clunk for the 2010 I just picked up. No questions asked.

I took my 2011 Trail Edition in and they fixed the headlights and the driveshaft clunk with no issues. I took it to Ehrlich Toyota in Greeley CO because the dealership I bought it from, Pederson Toyota in Fort Collins, didn't want to do it

I just had my headlight assemblies replaced today. Thanks to this forum, and particularly the TSB provided in this thread, my local Toyota dealership (Passport Toyota in Suitland MD) replaced them with no questions asked. As soon as looked at the new lights, I noticed a clear design difference compared to the ones originally on my 2010 SR5.

OK went to pick up my runner today with its new headlights, must say Fletcher Jones did a quick job of installing the new lights, and they look real pretty. Only trouble is, as I was picking up my car and doing a walk around on it I noticed they had cracked one of my rear taillights. DOH! A small spider crack that was hardly visible, but seeing as I am a anal SOAB I politely asked them to replace it which they said yes too but it would take a few days to order it so the put me in a 13 Highlander (which is a POS BTW) but hey it's free while they fix my runner. Gotta hand it to Fletcher Jones of Henderson for doing the right thing.
