No matter where I set my head rests the seem to always end up fully extended after even a short drive. Is this normal or are my head rests just getting excited about being out on the road?

Mines does the same thing.. :D

When I turn to look, my shoulder usually rotates into the headrest and nudges it up.

It drives me crazy... :nono:

I didn't want to post it here for fear of the criticism I would receive :D

Maybe I am just crazy, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that it is a "safety feature," either this forum, or when I was reading the manual. Where in a front end collision, the headrest will automatically extend to help minimize/prevent whiplash injury, and that pushing on the seat back will also cause them to extend.

Edit: I had that backwards, but did find an explanation

Me Mutt Be Haunted Too! :violin:

I put it all the way down and within two or three weeks its almost fully extended. And trust me, she almost never says that!

I don't think it's the active restraint system. In the owners manual is shows that when that activates the adjust buttons will also be raised up from a secondary telescopic tube. I think the normal catches just aren't catching very securely and it slides up from the internal springs

Like this: http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/database/aspx/getmedia.aspx?tstno=7755&index=9&database=V&type=C

During a test drive, the head rest kept extending so much that it fell off and I had to stop and put it back. Based on the active system described above, I might need to learn to stay still in my seat. Damn, technology!

If after 4 hours and you still experience an erection, consult your physician.
Yeh, like he's going to do anything so in that case, get a female MD.

dang lol thought i was only one that was happening too. i would put it down and next day it would be up i was like wth
