I guess I know what my first project will be. I really like the S2K projectors. Now I just have to find the parts.

S2K Projectors
D2S bulbs + ballasts kit
06+ 4runner headlights (will sell mine after done with retrofitting the new one)

What else am I missing?

dont forget relay harness and you all set.

Good luck trying to find some S2K's :bigok: I seen they go for as much as $400 a set and some people buy them in bulk for better days I suppose. These are better investment than real estate right now

Any updates on these retrofits? I just put HID kits in my headlights, better than the stock output, but the projectors don't put that great of light on the ground.

Anyone on here do retrofits? I don't have the time to do so, but want them.

I few people have done retrofits. IIRC, the projectors of choice are from either the AP1 S2000 or TSX. I'm sure you will find more under "search."

well, since I'm the original poster...i'll tell you that i did the retro fit. looking back, it was a fun project. i really needed to clear my entire weekend to do it (took me nearly 2 weeks of a few hours here and there). the end result is incredible. i used TSX projectors and am using 6000K bulbs. i love the look from outside the car and of course the incredible increase in output from the stock 2005 reflectors. i have every intention of putting a kit in my fog light projectors and may sswap out my 35W ballasts up to 55W for the low beams.

the project was involved...but not impossible. it just takes time and patience and planning. it's certainly easier to just do the late model head light assembly. but, the rewards aren't as great. if you're more of a "bolt-on" kind of guy...do that. if you love to tinker and experiment...do the retro. i'm very proud of mine and will eventually post some output pics. my wedding is coming up in 8 days. been slammed with that stuff!!!

paraordnance & I are so glad you went the retrofit route.

Like I stated before, it's beyond foolish to put on 2006+ projector headlights if you have the 2003-2005. I wouldn't pay for them if I didn't already have them.
