I already tried the vacuum- doesn't even faze it, and IMO getting it wet is completely out of the question because it will definitely leave watermarks.

I'm gonna try the Nature's Miracle, thanks [MENTION=119442]tristero[/MENTION] !
I already have that stuff and it does work great- didn't even consider it for this though. I'll report back.

Definitely don't soak it with like water and a wet rag or anything like that. The fabric will de-laminate from the backing and then you are screwed. I've seen people do that and it ain't pretty.

Wiki recommends a water/vinegar solution applied judiciously. I would test a very small spot in an inconspicuous area first.

I don't even want to know what a new headliner would cost.

It works like magic! Problem is it makes the areas surrounding it that didn't look dirty, look dirty.:bounce:

I only did a few spots so far but it took the dirt right off there easily with no drama.

Do you think you could do the whole liner and use a Shop Vac? Mine is horrible is likely the worst headliner you have ever seen. I am thinking of pulling and trying to fab a new one from something more durable...still searching for a solution, so if anyone has a suggestion, let me know.
