Hey there 4Runner world! Been lurking on this site and reading yalls posts for a couple of months now, and after buying a 2012 TE a few weeks ago, figured I sign up on the forum. Yall defintely sold me a truck...I've loved reading all the posts and seeing all the pics and mod progressions.

My technical automotive knowledge is non-existant, but I'm picking up stuff here and there.

Gonna let my checkbook heal for a while, but I'm exploring some options on lifts, tires, wheels, and maybe a brush guard (a friend recommended the bull bar by ARB, does anyone here have one of those?)

I just put some weather tech digital fit floor mats in it, and have really liked those for my snowy/sludgey shoes...but so for that's been the only thing I've done to it...

Nice TE and welcome. Your checkbook will continue to hate you for the remainder of the ownership of that vehicle. Might as well sit down and have "the talk" with it, the g/f or wife, and your kids if you have them. All further earnings will be devoted to modding the ever living snot outta that thing. :P

Beautiful truck! I have an ARB and I love it. It's not the prettiest bumper on the market, but it suits my needs wonderfully.
 
Are those Oklahoma plates?

Where in the hell did you find that truck? I've been looking for weeks for a silver TE.

Meow I've got to cut ya.

Thanks! I'm afraid you're right about my checkbook being in for a beating...These things are just too cool not to though.

Been delaying that "talk" with the girl friend....I'm planning on just doing stuff to it and hoping that she doesnt figure out much some of this stuff is...Better to ask forgivness than permission, right? haha

Thank you, sir! That's great to hear that you're happy with your ARB. Have any pics of it? Did you get it from a local shop or order it?

Yessir, they're OK plates (have about a week left before I have to get bent over by KS w/sales tax and tagging fees). Found this truck at Jim Norton Toyota in Tulsa.

I had been looking for TE's since last summer and there were never any in my area....it's crazy how hard they can be to find...So when this popped up a few weeks ago, I bolted down there...

I do have pics but they're on my phone. If you want, you can PM me your email and I can shoot some to you. Just haven't had a chance to upload them. The bumper was purchased and installed at Slee off road outside of Denver, but if you don't want to drive, you could just order and install yourself.

They must be good at finding TEs...They have a nice low mile '12 in Salsa Red right now. I want silver though.

There are two silver TE's for sale in Austin, Tx. One is a 2012 silver TE with 3k miles at covert ford Covert Ford | Austin New & Used Ford Dealer serving Round Rock, Cedar Park & Georgetown Texas

and the other is a 2010 TE at Apple Sport Imports with 3x,xxx miles on it

That 2012 TE in Austin from Winstondvm's post looks amazing...Already has some BFG's and looks to me like a lift too...That'd also be a perfect excuse for ya to take a road trip down to Austin, too. Really fun town, I grew up 20 minutes SW of there.

Let us know if you work out a deal with them!

lol...I bought my last...Well...Two trucks ago in Austin. It is indeed a fun city.

I shot 'em an email...Get that ball rolling a little bit.
