help: 2000 4runner IAC screw stripped

I've taken this off. That part you have is not on my throttle body. In fact I have removed all screws to the point that I'm just looking at gears inside the throttle body. Nothing that even remotely looks like the picture.

I have the same type of TB as your truck. I too removed the TB and was looking for the IAC. I even bought the gasket for it. Couldn’t find the darn thing. You have an idea where it is? Oh I have a 2001 4runner SR5 (2X4) if that helps any.

2001 is when Toyota switched out the old cable driven throttle bodies for the more modern electronically controlled ones. The IAC is internal to the unit and cannot be serviced.

this is true ( above) also isn't the TPS in the newer ones also not replaceable/serviceable..

also of note, on amazon they sell a 1/4 inch impact driver...you know the kind you smack with a hammer...being 1/4 inch they cant do much damage and I use a small hammer. And I use JIS bits in it so I rarely have issues often of stripping small screws...
