I have just purchased a 2006 4Runner Sport Edition for my son and initiated him into the ‘club’. Overall the truck is in wonderful condition, but the front struts need some love and new tires are on the horizon. I have a 2014 SR5 that I installed a Bilstein 6112/5160 combo on summer 2016 and wondered if they might fit the 2006 and allow me to upgrade to an Icon setup.
I’ve searched and haven’t seen any confirmation, but it looks like they are different part numbers, but didn’t know why. His is a 2WD version and clips would be set low. Just want to improve the stance a bit (level) and be able to address the front strut issue for him without sinking money into his truck and mine at the same time.
