Help, an octopus is loose in the engine compartment

Ok, just need some advice on a good waterproof aux fuse block to help clean up the battery area. Looked at the blue sea brand but I want something that is sealed from the elements. Need 6-8 fuse capability.

YOu can use a corolla fan relay fuse box. Each box has 4 relays and 4 fuses.

You will need to rewire few relays to get it the way you want.

I use one in my 4runner.

I think that most people run those:in the cab, they don't look very sealed to be sitting in the engine compartment IMO

There are actually a lot of guys that run those under the hood. I'm not one so I can't comment on how they hold up. How water proof are you looking for? I mean the factory are splash proof, but certainly not what I would call sealed.

I ran a 12 circuit blue sea box under the hood of my montero, and now run a 6 circuit fuse box in my 4runner, never had any issues with corrosion or water getting to them, a light coat of an electrically safe corrosion preventative goes a long way.

They were both mounted relatively close to or on the firewall and high up, i think that attributes to the lack of water getting to them.

this was the setup on my montero mounted on the wheel-well, no issues

there shouldn't be any issues with the blue sea panels provided you aren't dunking your engine for long periods of time. Actually, even then, it'll probably work just fine, or as well as the rest of the vehicle electronics that will be submerged.

those are marine grade w stainless hardware. if they can survive more than a year on my boat in SC salt, they will do just fine under the hood.

I personally have not use them but I have read good things about using these fuse blocks
