Help..ARB fog light wiring

I forgot to ask... are the ARB lamps LED type? If so, remember that LED lights are DC-volt directional; meaning they only work with the positive going to the proper end (pole). So if you wire them back-wards: POS to NEG, and NEG to POS, they won't work at all; so make sure your polarity is going in the proper direction!

Still didn't get them going on factory switch. I gave up and started on the winch install and will do the fogs this weekend. I can get the lights working when wired as per arb supplied directions using their switch included with their harness but I cannot get them working using the factory switch. This weekend Ill take off the lower steering colum and wire directly to the factory switch. That should do it.

If it were my truck, my curiosity alone would'nt let me sleep. Try to find out where you're losing the power... it worked before you cut the factory wiring(?) ...yeah! Just start unplugging the harness connectors one-by-one and testing for power at each connector and you'll figure it out. Just make sure that the low-beams are on and the High-beams are turned off... you can do this! :dance:

So glad to know that you've gotten things working... I still don't know what the problem was because the link that you pasted didn't open. Maybe you could expound a little on what the trouble turned out to be; I'm just curious :noidea:

We ended up just using supllied harness, cutting off supplied switch on harness and running the switch wires right to the OEM switch. Now there anytime fogs which is great. Why we had such a hard time I don't know lol.

Hey mAtTyGlaz,

WOW!!! That is one good lookin' truck. And I particularly like the 'Top-shelf' Skid plates, the ARB bumper/Pushbar, and winch tucked neatly away 'Front and center'. really nice TRD-PRO! 'Best to you'!
