Help me decide on 34" tires

Looks good. In the rear for me I do rub my bumper, but nothing a cut off wheel can't fix. Up front I have no rubbing on the street, still need to "flex" out the front and see if I need to cut more.

Right, but you have the 4x4 rear bumper right. I don't think a stock bumper would work without the bump stop extensions. There is some material that could be molded back, but it looks difficult.

I'm still not sure where I will be up front once fully flexed out, but it all looks doable at the moment. I have more clearance than I expected.

I'm waiting on the DO bumper, so I hope I can make the stocker work. Worse case I should be able to get my hands on a torn up cover that I can go to town on for temporary use.

Pic is my rear tire on the bump stop. EDIT: It's actually not quite on it looks to be about .25 or so off.

Dang those bumps really limit the up travel. I can pretty much stuff my 34s only problem being the rear bumper a little.

With your rear tire like that is the shock pretty much bottomed out?

I have some Toyo MTs that I would be willing to part with. About 3k on them. But a smidge taller. 295/70R17, nothing wrong with the changed directions with a new build.

We would actually be downsizing with the 295s.

I am running a 285/75x17 and wFo9 is running 305/70x17. Both tires are about 34.1" in diameter where as the 295/70x17 is around a 33.3 (if I remember correctly).

I went and looked at the pic I took under and I'm actually about .25" - .5 off the bump stop there.... I need to take the sway bar off to really get it fully flexed out at that spot (which is my neighbors driveway LOL).

But yes they are there to stop the shock from bottom out. With most LT shocks you have to sacrifice up-travel to gain down. I had some cheap pro-comps on for a while that did not require bump stops (since they had a great compressed vs extended profile). I could stuff the tires like crazy, but the Icons with the longer extension (but also a longer compressed length) actually yielded much better overall characteristics on the trail.

pic is with the procomp shocks on the non extended bump stops and the 33s.

It was not terrible like this, but I was dragging my bumper too much.

Another side note: with the exact same setup but 33" tires... I could easily get on the bump stop on that driveway in the pic above. Now, with the 34s it won't flex out all the way. Interesting how tire size changes everything up.

Tire clearance is more what I was talking about. I honestly hadn't even considered the shock bottoming out.

LED high beams... gives is a yellow look due to the little LED thingies... Makes it look like cat eyes in the daylight. lol

I have MT 2 inch bumpstops on mine . You can see in the last couple of pics in this post with them at full stuff with 305/70/17 KM2's which are actually a little shy of 34's.They didn't didn't hit or rub but pretty close .

My phone is toast, so I could not take any more pics. But here is another from yesterday that sort of shows the stance. I love the look....

Those should be about 33.5". The lugs are part of the measured size.

Gary with the two inch do you still get the protection from bottoming the shocks out?
