Help transferring destinations to new nav unit

The touch panel on my 2014 factory nav stopped responding in one corner, and I have an appointment at the dealer in 90 minutes to have a new nav system installed. I just realized I'll lose all the destinations in it, unless they are stored on the SD card. I phoned toyota tech support and they said this is not the case, and that I will have to enter each destination street address manually. Does anyone know of an alternative? I see an entune app called "saved destinations". Can I download to my phone using that app or another approach and then upload to the new nav unit?

I don't know the answer, but I would think that the entune app would automatically save them to the app.

I assumed you asked the dealer this question when you went in? What did they say?

I believe the Entune App with the Saved Destinations feature is a one-way App. In other words you enter a destination in the Entune App on the smart-phone then Save it. Once the smart-phone synchs with the Nav unit in the car and you go to Apps on the Nav unit and look at saved destinations it asks if you want to synch with the saved destinations in the smart-phone. Then, after the synch the saved destinations are no longer on the smart-phone Entune app.

I haven't been able to get them to go from the Nav unit app to the smart-phone so I think you may have to enter the addresses again manually.:sad:
