Help with no brakes and locked auto shifter

I have searched and read most all available threads dealing with the locked transmission and lack of brake lights.
Have checked the fuse, good.
Swapped the relay, no difference.
Removed the brake light switch, and it test as good. (The switch has a closed and open circuit that changed when the switch is closed/opened). Is there another way to test it other than continuity? Both circuits check out. Can this be the case and the switch still be bad?
No apparent wiring issues visible.

Still unable to get brakes to work, or shift without using the override.

Any other things I am missing?
Everything was fine until last night.

2000 SR5 4WD 3.4.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Anyone have a wiring diagram for this circuit? Please send pdf of if you can, and I can start testing it out.
Anyone in St. Louis area who has addressed this problem in the past?

Did you jump the terminals in the brake light switch connector to see if the brake lights turned on?

A little trick I learned from the tow truck driver who towed me when my T4R broke down on the Hwy. My shift stick (auto tranny) was stuck in park and I could not get it out of park.

It took him 5 seconds to unlock it. Seriously. I asked him to please show me exactly what he did. There is a tiny hole to the right of the shifter. He had a very small flat head screw driver and he pushed it into that hole, pressed down, and easily moved the shifter to neutral. Presto ! Just like magic.

Just something to keep in the back of your head if it ever happens again.

Yes I think all Toyotas have that manual override next to the shifter. You push it and it will let you shift to whatever position you want even without power. It does have a little cover over it.

Could be your NSS.

If that’s bad; it wouldn’t let the truck shift/start.
