Help with shocks

My 4Runner just got to 170k, and well it's more obvious than anything that I need to replace my shocks which are still original.

I want to do Bilstein shocks. I searched and found the HD models popular.

My only issue is that some shocks are "for use on 4 cylinder models only," some for 6, and others for 2wd and 4wd.

Does it really matter? I was just thinking about buying the shocks for the normal SR5.

Help please! Searching didn't yield me much.

They are the same.

Not sure if you have a place in mind, but I just picked up my set for $279 shipped. I believe the guys name is mark and he was really nice and helpful with narrowing it down out of a few.

Ya i'm with John on this one, most likely the have different internal valving to accommodate different weights, it's also possible that they are all exactly the same and they just like to mess with you...

Yeah I suppose so.

I went on tirerack.com and it wasn't that much, I think like 260ish for all 4.

I'll find where i should get them, just as long as I know which to get.

Thanks guys for your help
