Help with TPMS...

Dummy light is out - wife said NWIH is she going to look at that thing for 3 months.

Local tire shop said sensors are $220 installed and the car programmed. However, they'll swap wheels and reprogram for free for as long as I run their tires. So again, over 7 years or so it's not too bad.

My preference would be sensors that can be programmed to match the existing ones, but they have no idea what to do with those.

That's why I went with this option. I can change my wheels/tires whenever I want in my own garage, any weather, any time of day, no waiting in line, all while drinking a beer. I think it was a Midas that took care of mine, but I'm sure every location has their own equipment. I think my sensors (and likely the programming equipment since I assume it's not universal) were Schrader.

Basically, they use one wireless reader to get the ID of each of the 4 sensors. Then they use a different handheld piece to program each of the 4 new sensors with the same IDs as the OEM ones.

I'd check a few more places if I were you just to see what you can find.
