Nope. Did you make sure you got the HI/LO kit? It's a $15 option.

im glad you could answer that Clemson i got a little concerned for a sec haha. gosh DDM made what... almost $200 from this thread alone so far??

Have you ordered yours yet?

I snipped mine cause it should make them last longer i think most guys have done that here.
but here is a pic of what i did in case i ever need them back very easy mnod with no side effects

As for the Hi/LO its the same bumb so as long as you already have it on it should be warmed up. what happens is the bulb adjust from the casper shield causing it to shine at a different angle

Is that wire black w/ yellow stripe? We will need to do it as well. BigJohn and I both ordered kits this weekend.

yeah thats the one! I was so nervous cutting wires cause i have had side effects with stuff ive learned here before lol but i cut it and put the connectors. There are no side affects. everything works great!

this will disable your daytime running lights, Running HID's with your DRL's is not a bad thing but its gonna wear you bulbs out for sure. just make sure you only cut this wire and its the black with yellow stripe

couldnt you just turn them off???

Yes.. and cutting that wire is one way of doing it, other's put a switch for more flexibility and others just disconnect the DRL module in the engine bay.

If I remember correctly DRL delete is different from years 96-99 and 00-02...others can verify.

We should have put together a group buy.

I just placed my order. 35 watt H4 Hi/Lo 5,000K. Two weeks till Christmas. I hope they get here by then.

It says that the Hi/Lo kits come with a fused relay about half way down the page. I guess that's why it costs $15 more.

How are you guys mounting the balasts? Mine dont have any ind of mounting brackets or tabs.
I guess I will fab something

ok bc mine has a switch on the turn stock so i should prolly just turn it on at night

Slim ballast or regular ballast?

I got some of that really strong automotive tape. I'm going to try that once it warms up some or I might have to use a hair dryer to warm up the metal.

I think they are the regular ones - metal case. I am sure I will ponder up something ridiculously over the top to secure them.

Quick question. What came in your kit?

All that came with my last one was the ballasts, bulbs, and four small zip ties. No tape and no instructions.

Do your bulbs have shields?

It disables the DRL feature...with it connected you will have your HID's running full time shortening it's lifespan.

Your daytime running lights only run at about 1/2 power without the actual headlights on. So, it could allow the HID bulbs to flicker without enough amp draw.

I got 2 balasts, 2 bulb assemblys (metal shroud and bulb) and wire harness, some zip ties...
