HID Problem

I had my Fusion HID kit installed for about 2 monts now and tonight for the 1st time my passenger side HID Bulb didnt ignite. I always let the bulb cool off before turning them back off and stuff. Even after cutting them off and waiting 5 minutes it didnt come back on. Any idea what the problem is?

did you check the wiring? I get that everyonce in a while with my driver side fog light. for some reason the connector from the ballast to the factory harness comes loose.

swap the ballast with each other to determine if its the bulb that is out. if that dont work, it can be a ballast problem too.

make sure it is properly grounded then turn the lights on and off up to around 10-15 times i had to do that for a month then they acted good for 2 years...

that means u need a wire harness to the ballast, maybe its time to upgrade to something better, the saying is u get wat you paid for. if its a cheap kit, chances are u will have problems.

I just tested the bulb and it worked on my driver side ballast so the bulb isnt bolwn the only thing i can think of is the connection went bad or the ballast has failed

Cheap china made ballast have a high failure rate. Sometime the ballast housing touching the metal car body will affect how it operates.

I had a brand new cheap kit that i had use for only testing during my hid retrofit and now it is broken(shuta off in 1 min). But im using Lightwerkz ballast now.

Since yours has an Amp connectors, most availables are aftermarket: Lightwerkz, theretrofitsource, hella, catz , and few others. I went with Lightwerkz because its the cheapest haha but they have good reps . Cheap ones are hit n miss, more miss.

i use morimoto mini d2s projectors, right now im using a 35w 5000k bulb, powering it with morimoto 5five ballast. its like pure white, i might switch back to the osram 66240 bulb to get a warmer color. go on ebay and look for a seller name auto sky, i have been buying hids from there and its pretty solid, its only 35-40 to ur door. get 4300k or 6000k only.

also where ever u got the hid from, it should still have warranty. dont even bother to send it in if its going to cost u more money than buying a new better kit. also stay away from xentec brands off ebay, worst flickering kit i have tried.
