Hidden Features!

I just found this thread too....

I almost got into an accident this morning trying to find out if I have the sliding visor - which I was happy to find out that I do.

Then I found the hidden compartment in the glove box... opened it up and found a sock that isn't mine.

So far it's a good Friday.

Just found another (been well over a year since I read through these, so don't remember whether this has been mentioned):

In the rear seat's center arm-rest cup-holders, after push to release, keep pulling... and an additional burger tray will extend.

Found the little hidden compartment in my Yank'. It was chock full of maps of PA, NJ, and MD. No surprise, she was a NJ truck.

Yesterday I'm driving along with the sun coming in the car from the driver's window. So I pull the sun visor across to block the sun. Of course the sun is entering just past the end of the visor. So, I was wondering why they didn't have those little slide out extensions to provide more shade protection. I get home and while putting the visor back into the tucked-up position I notice the little eye lock doesn't line up (it's about an inch off). I push the visor back into position and pop it into the parked position. I'm thinking to myself "Shit I'm gonna have to have the stealer replace the visor, what a pain in the ass". As I'm walking up the stairs it dawned on me that Toyota would not let a defective visor slip through like that, maybe it is supposed slid to give better shade coverage. Sure enough both visors slide about 8" to provide shade all the way to the middle pillar. I figure I better post this because I

Yes! Love this feature. My '07 T4R has it, but not my '18 Prius... drives me crazy that the Prius doesn't have it because the stock visors are tiny and my commutes are always in the early/late parts of the day when the sun is low. Can Toyota just make this a stock feature on all models already?

Being relatively new to the forum, I read through the whole thread a few months ago, and don't recall seeing this one (I just discovered):

With most cars I've been frustrated to not have a convenient place to secure a tollway ticket and the bit of cash to pay it. Our old Volvo had a little plastic clip on the A-pillar, against the windshield. It's a stupid little detail, but it really was handy.

I flipped my headlights on the other night (on the 4runner) and the reflection off the wall in front of me illuminated the little plastic pocket on the bottom of the driver's visor. How nifty is that! :bluejump:

My wife and I use this pocket to stash little encouraging notes to each other. I guess you could also use it for a wallet sized photo of the fam on last year's camping trip!
