8000K HID Conversion Kit
Well.......my impatience got the best of me. I purchased an 8000 Kelvin HID system at http://www.blinglights.com/HID3.html. I got the group rate of $294/$315 with shipping. If anyone is interested, Jason will answer any questions and accommodate the price for single buyers. I also purchased Polarg 9006 Pure Yellow replacement bulbs for the fogs. Trying to get my old 2002 IS 300 look back. Not sure how it's all going to turn out, but can post my experience and some pics if anyone's interested.

I am looking to purchase a 4Runner after I sell my 02 IS300. One of my initial hesitations is lack of HIDs on the 4Runner. I absoloutely love my IS300 lighting. I don't know if I can ever drive another automobile without HID. I am anxious to hear about your experiences with your HIDs and how they compare to your IS300's. Can you post pics of the beam pattern of your HIDs after installation?

Hey guys. The goods are being delivered Today and I'll install on Friday. The 8000 K has a slightly blue tint. When I get the kit this evening I'll post the specifics and pics when the install is complete. I was talked out of the Polarg and talked into the Nokya Hyper Yellow 70 W fogs. I'm anxious to see how it looks.

Farther back in this now LONG thread it looked like Okkins kit did both high and low beams. I would want both HID, if not the fog lights as well. Zach's kit does just low beams. Is that right?

OK.... at work and haven't uploaded the pics yet and I'm sure I'll get some hell, but I'll do it tonight. Wow, what a difference. This kit has a bright white light with a slight blue tint and the Nokya 2500K hyper yellow bulbs ($25 bucks) did the trick with the fogs. The look is almost identical to my old 2002 IS 300. I was at a stop light next to an 03 QX4 and you couldn't even see this guys HIDs next to mine. The coverage is the same as oem bulbs but 3 times brighter and white. I have been quite impressed. Jason at www.blinglights.com has extended the group buy but you must use the address in the earlier posting -only $294 plus shipping. The total was $315. This kit is 9006 so you could actually put in in the fogs as well. Dim lights only. You obviously would need to purchase a 9005 HID system for your bright lights. I haven't seen a system that covers both. I installed all 4 bulbs, ballasts and ignighters in 30 minutes. I used industiral Velco for easy removal when I take it to the stealership for service. I don't want any warranty issues. The construction is solid and all components including the bulbs are made by a company called California Sunshine and is warranted for a year. Components and assembly in Japan. I can give you Jason's number at Bling Lights if anyone has any questions and I'll post pics tonight.

Unfortunately, my camera hasn't done much justice to the color and light pattern. I have a new Canon digital S500 Elph 5 mega pixel camera on it's way. I have been very impressed with the quality of the 8000K HID Conversion Kit. In fact, fuse upgrades weren't necessary and the kit uses less power than the OEM 55 watt bulbs. The first pic I was kneeling down directly in front of the light pattern and of course, these lights are 3 times brighter than any halogen bulb and with a camera, it's going to produce a glare. I have not been bright lighted once and a cop at the gas station thought they were stock. He said "Every new vehicle seems to be coming out with Xenon headlights". I'll never go back to halogen bulbs. I believe I'm going to buy another HID kit for the fogs. Two of my friends have purchase the same kit. One for an 02 Z3 and the other for an 03 Sequoia. Everyone's real happy. Unlike the retrofit in earlier posts (very cool) I installed the HIDs and fogs in 30 minutes. and I can take the HIDS out in 5 minutes if I need to (two 9006 Halogen bulbs in the glove box if the system goes down) In addition, HID bulbs create less heat than halogen bulbs and new vehicle headlight housings are perfect for this upgrade. Reflectors in the housing are angled to produce a specific light pattern. The type of bulb wont change that, just much brighter coverage. I live in STL. If anyone in my area is considering this upgrade, email me and you can see in person.

Very simple. Grab the base of the 9006 "low beam" OEM stock bulbs and turn them 1/4 turn counter clockwise and remove. Unplug the stock bulbs. Remove the protective plastic covers on the 9006 HID bulbs in the kit. (must be unplugged from the ballasts and igniters. Be very careful not to touch the bulbs with your fingers or anything else during install. Connect the HID system directly to the connector that you removed from the stock bulbs. Be sure all connections are secure and test. I was told to leave the lights on for approximately 15 minutes when you fire them up initially. I mounted the HIDs for easy removal with industrial Velcro, which created a clean, easily removable MOD. I posted a few pics of where I installed them. If you have any questions, send me a private message with your number and I'll call you. Enjoy. They're awesome. I would recommend the Nokya 2500 K Hyper Yellow 75 watt 9006 bulbs fort the fogs.

hey i see in the second picture that you mounted one of the ballasts to your battery. i know it's easily removed with the velcro, but what happens when you change the battery? you'd lose the velcro that's stuck to the battery.
