"tire pressure warning reset"

when initializing the system, the present tire inflation pressure is stored as a standard. The tire pressure warning system determines decreased air pressure by comparing the present and the standard tire inflation. when you change the set tire inflation pressure, it is necessary to initialize the tire pressure warning system.

"to initialize the tire pressure warning system perform the following"

-park vehicle
-adjust all installed tires and spare accordingly
-turn engine switch to the "on" position
-push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch untill the tire pressure warning light blinks slowly 3 times
-wait a few minutes with the engine switch "on" and then turn the engine switch off

then it goes on about a bunch of things you should not do, and what to do if it does not perform properly ect.


this allows me to set my base pressure at something other than 32 psi.

Hmmm. Page 199 in my manual explains how to use the lights and wipers...

Must be something they added- what is the "tire pressure warning reset switch"? I don't have that either.

Do you mean page 199 of the 2008 Tacoma manual as described in the link below?

Airdam I checked my 4RUNNER manual and nothing you say is correct. The TPMS will detect low pressure but WILL NOT detect high pressure until 73 psi!! Are you just messing with us?
