Okay, yes I have done a search and I can’t find a solution. My odyssey started after I brought my 2003 V8 SR5 (157,586 mi) in to Tire Kingdom and they replaced the front suspension towers (that is how they described it) and replaced the windshield washers fluid pump. The VSC/Trac Trac off and ABS lights came on. So far I have :
1) performed the zero point calibration about a zillion times. (zpc)
2) disconnected positive battery cable and waited up to an hour and then did zpc
3) I have my own OBD code reader (Two actually ) and there were NO codes being sent. I sent a clear code command nonetheless and this was unsuccessful.
4) I have replaced the “brake switch “ thingy as directed in another vsc/trac thread. No dice.
5). Checked gas cap. It is original but is doesn’t seem to be an issue. I guess I can order one but I doubt this is the problem
I saw in one thread someone who had suspension work done had an ABS line cable (something like that) damaged and it caused these infernal lights to come on . If I had to guess at this point, that is what I would say may be the answer. My questions are two
1) would a damaged ABS line or cable not throw a code to a OBD reader
2) since the VSC /TRAc and ABS lights are on, does that mean the vehicle stability control and the traction control as well as the abs brakes no liger work? I am about to drive from home in SE Georgia up to Connecticut to move my son out of school and I would feel a whole lot safer with ABS/TRAC and VSC. I am going to try to bring it back to Tire Kingdom tomorrow but I was hoping to hear from the experts first.
