Holy OBD-II codes, Batman! Just scanned and found 16 DTCs... halp.

Granted, I could track these down individually and get to troubleshooting, but thought I'd run this concerning list by you guys first. This is a 2005 V6 2WD. Oh hi, btw. I'm new. I brought beer. :cheers:

Scanned using an Innova scanner with Toyota logic- already tried erasing all DTCs, ran the truck hard on the highway, brought it back, shut it down, then scanned it again- these keep popping up. But it runs great, no CELs, no complaints, found after a preventative check this evening I did over the whole truck before my mother-in-law departs on a trip to Missouri in the morning... at least she has roadside assistance!... :rofl: But I care. I do! Really behaves fine despite all this. She's had the truck for 2 years now, zero issues. I haven't run codes on it until now (again, tried clearing these, multiple times). Very curious.

P0300- Toyota Readiness Random Misfire Detected (OK, I may need to change the spark plugs first)
P0011- Toyota Readiness Intake Camshaft Position Timing - Over - Advanced (Bank 1)
P0012- Toyota Readiness Intake Camshaft Position Timing - Over - Retarded (Bank 1)
P0021- Toyota Readiness Intake Camshaft Position Timing - Over - Advanced (Bank 2)
P0022- Toyota Readiness Intake Camshaft Position Timing - Over - Retarded (Bank 2)
P0100- Toyota Readiness Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit

So, where's the reset button for starters?

Of note, her battery is hardly holding 12V and was found tonight at 11.7V but doesn't have an issue cranking yet- solid 13.7V while running, alternator good. I'm replacing it as soon as she gets back next week. So some of these may be voltage related (may replace batt and then rescan). Your thoughts? Thanks, folks.

replace battery then rescan and let us know. bad bat makes everything go wacky. and the rest button is disconnecting the battery for 15 or so to reset computer.

And i am no mechanic but all those are sensors so I would have to say the batt. is causing that cause of the low voltage

Disconnecting the battery does weird things at first to the car I have noticed also it runs like shit until it unscrambles its marbles fyi

Holy Batman! Replace the battery before she goes out of town.

Replace the battery, the majority if not all of those DTCs are due to low system voltage. I would also ask your mother-in law how often they have been jumpstarting the vehicle. I would also try and get the charging system load tested while you're at it just to be safe.

Modern OBDII CAN vehicles & low/unstable system voltage do bad things.

Hi, I have the same issues of the readiness code, but I have 20. I already disconnected the battery and reconnected it. Could something else be wrong? Has anybody have this issue before?

If it happened after the Headgasket was replaced, the timing is probably off. That DTC is set for Retarded Camshaft Timing on Bank 1.

Have your mechanic/husband check the timing of the vehicle again, is this a 4.0L V6 or a 4.7L V8?
