Homegrown's 99' 5 Speed Build

Probably seen my 4runner before on my old account.
But this build thread is going to be way more organized. So here it goes

As it sits now

I had a 98 Tacoma extra cab 3.4 5 speed TRD. Which I loved but doesn't support a car seat too well.
So i picked up a 96 t4r limited. But was still biased towards the 5 speed. So I peddled that and got this. And it was a hit.

99' t4r sr5 3.4 4x4 5 speed. 224k miles. Ran absolutley perfect for $3600
And so it began

The day I brought it home-complete family car look

The day after I pulled off the brush guard and running boards

First things first..231s. I used napa calipers and rotors and toyota pads and shims

That wasn't enough for me i guess. So a few days later UPS dropped off a few packages for me.

Wheelers Type B 16x8 4" backspacing. And this. 18" magnaflow

A few days later I had the muffler in and wheels mounted

Then the small mods. Plasti dipped emblems and stereo.

2 10" fosgate punch p2s. 1000 watt alpine amp. Kenwood deck

And that's how it currently stands

Great first few mods! I love my Tundra brakes and have never had a problem with them after 3 months of use. Are you running wheel spacers? I cant tell from the pictures, but it looks like it on the last picture. Looking forward to what you do to your rig!

i know your in cali but TINT your windows! i think its the best thing ive ever done to mine..

i love how you can just peel the over spray plasdip right off! good thinking u pulled the brush guard off. that one didnt look very good. also i love the white and black look!

Are you running wheel spacers? I cant tell from the pictures, but it looks like it on the last picture.

Nope. No spacers. That's why I'm running the wheelers type Bs. They clear the 231s, and with the 4" backspacing it pushes the wheels out.
