Well, I signed the papers for a 2013 Spruce Mica CrewMax TRD Tundra today. What a mouthful. Got a decent price, decent trade-in for the 4Runner, but am not happy to see the 4Runner go.

The same sales guy who hooked me up with the 4Runner is now the truck manager at a much closer dealership, and is transferring what I wanted in for a couple hundred over invoice, no humming, no hawing, no lectures. And was willing to do factory orders, no problem. He also had no trouble pulling out three trucks so the wife could compare trim levels, sit in them, shut off the traction control and lay a strip in one in their parking lot.

Anyways, it's been fun. Oh, and the sliders are already spoken for, you vultures.

I am happy that the retarded nav will be gone. The wife will never call me crying again, asking me why the nav routed her via southeast DC when point A is Vienna VA and point B is Bethesda, MD. Or send me from southern Kentucky to northern Virginia via Baltimore.

I will be happy that our travel trailer won't wag the tow vehicle again. It's not a matter of weight, but a matter surface area vs wheelbase.

I am happy that with the longer wheelbase and wider stance, head-toss will be much less annoying.

I am happy that Tundras have a better transmission shift program.

I will miss the seats. I will miss the short wheelbase when off-roading. I will miss the turn radius.

I'll still come wheeling with you guys and the bruisers. I just don't take those turns as tight.

My better half just brought his new Tundra home as well

He got a 2012 crewmax with the iforce 5.7 v8 in Barcelona Red with black interior and it has the platinum edition. That truck moves and oh yeah it can
leave tracks behind it very easily. At 381hp this truck flies. :frog:

I expect I'll still be around to get a break from the bro-ness of the Tundra forums - they all seem to give me a bit of a headache (and then I read the Ram forums :wow. And I'll make sure to bring big D will come along to inspect your trucks. But mainly to jump all over them.

The new body style hasn't really grown on me. Pictures side-by-side of the dash show a Ford, and the front mug of the thing says Chevy. And while a Ford or Chevy built by Toyota is better than a Ford or a Chevy, I'd rather my family not have a hard time finding our truck in a parking lot.

As far as supercharging it, uh, no. More power is the last thing I need.
