Best wishes on the new truck. I was trying to decide on the Tundra vs the T4R. Decided I liked the T4R and got tired of doing a bunch of errands for my neighbors with my old truck. If you are the guy on the block with a truck get ready cause the requests will start coming out of the woodwork.

Lemme know if you need me to go over to the factory to see how things are coming along. I am not too far from there and always wanted to take a field trip.

Yup my Crew Max is a 07 but I only have 25,000 miles on it. The 4 Runner clone front end is not worth it to me to trade in. They should have solved the AIP issues , bed bounce problems .

But I enjoy 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds.
 
So I picked up the Tundra last night. Pics tomorrow.

On a whim, I dropped by Carmax to double-check my trade-in valuation. Oddly enough, they offered a few grand more for my trade than the dealership did, and since I negotiate a cash price before bring the trade into the deal anyways, it got sold on the spot.

Anyhow, the sales guy from the Toyota dealer offered to pick me up at Carmax, so I could take delivery of the truck they had brought in for me. That's pretty nice, since it was 20 miles away. I can't say anything bad about that - if you're looking to get a Toyota in the DC area, it's worth having a chat with Leo Bouchard at Koons Tyson's Toyota. Tell him that crazy 4Runner guy sent you.

I've always gone to Carmax first to see what they would give me, then take the offer from them with me to the dealer. Most of the time Carmax beat the dealership's trade in price by $1000 or $2000.

Most of the time the dealership will match Carmax's price just as long as you have to print out from Carmax and its not an expired quote.
 
Finally enough sunlight so the Spruce Mica does not get photographed as grey. Pardon the cell phone pics ;)

Sure wish the 4Runners were offered in that color.

Nice looking Tundra! Don't worry about Dave, he always talks like that when he's trying to be an a$$hole. :)
