Hopeful 5th Gen purchaser with a question

I've been reading every thread on here the past few weeks doing research and had a question I haven't found the answer to as of yet.

As for the keyless entry on a 4runner (might be phrasing it wrong, but the ability to lock/unlock doors by touching the handle), how close does the FOB need to be to the vehicle?

The master bedroom in our house sits about 30 feet from where the 4runner would be parked; I just want to make sure it won't be accessible.

The fob has to be within 3 feet or so. Its accurate enough that you can only open the door that you are standing next to. The back hatch window is locked even if I'm standing next to the driver's door; I have to walk to the rear of the car to open that window or hatch.

Of course, you can manually unlock everything if you choose, but the examples tell you how precise the system is. It won't be an issue being 30 feet away, or even 8 feet. It works well.
