How do you find your trails?

I'm just curious as to how most people here discover their trails? I feel like it's largely by word of mouth.

I'm still pretty new to SoCal as I moved here from the Midwest 2 years ago.

I'm just wondering if you guys have any trail guide, maps, apps, or other tools for find the road less traveled.

Dirtopia is a good start. Word of mouth, forums, interwebs in general (I'll look up lakes, streams, camping spots), or sometimes I'll just take a drive to an area where on a previous visit there was road that needed to be explored. For me it can be a process though. Once I find out about a trail, regardless of method, I'll usually look it up on googlemaps to see where it goes. Pictures will come up as well, which makes it easier to find destinations.

AllTrails, Dirtopia and Trail leaders on this site.

You can also search California OHV which is a pretty good resource. OHMVR Division

Our So-Cal group is pretty active and meets up regularly. I was just in AZ and UT and looked up their groups which is lumped under Southwest and did not get that much info. So this site is a great resource.

I'm currently watching the videos of the most recent trips you all went on. I wish I could have made it. But going up to Spanish sky.

I appreciate the guidance of this forum. Nothing but knowledge ( and a bit of sarcasm) for me to feast on. I'll have to check out those app, sites, and books.
