How do you pay for your mods?

I am lucky enough that I get compensated 56 cents/mile at my job. My 4runner costs me about 22cents/mile to drive (gas cost). So on an average week of about 400 miles i make approx. $136 to spend on the runner.

I make even more when I can take the motorcycle, which only costs about 10 cents/mile
 
Deploying... preferably to war zones or countries where I'll get hazard duty pay, imminent danger pay, and where there is no physician so I can get my "independent duty pay". Otherwise, if I'm lucky and the money doesn't need to go somewhere else, I get a bonus every year.

That's where the money for my mod fund comes from. Until I find part time work or start making more.

That is exactly what I do. My job also compensates per mile, and I put the mileage reimbursement checks into Paypal.

sometimes I have to save up for a bit. sometimes the woman contributes. but we don't do anything special, just work and save.

I have a take home car with my job so my truck rarely turns a wheel. I think I put 9000 miles on it in the last year and that's me trying to find reasons to drive.
 
I'm 19, have a full ride scholarship, a full time job, and no bills other than the runner. Yepp, that usually does it :llama:
 
I work about 11.5 hours a week on a second job. Plus overtime at my regular job when I can get it. An extra paycheck really helps.
 
I found extra work with the local Minor League Baseball team which is contributing to establishing contacts for my major in college. So a little extra cash funds mods for now. once this is over I'll be back to 40 hours at my boring job so after I pay what bills I have (insurance, gas, groceries), I save until I have the amount I need.

It surely isn't a fast way to get things done but it's just the way it is. I don't spend all my money on the truck though. I have other addictions (none bad!) that are parasites on my bank account.
 
but really, I have a 2nd p/t job (10hrs/wk) but that's to pay for gas and what not when I can save some aside for knick knacks and not just for the 4runner. I have the warden's Tacoma also and my addiction to gadgets at times.
