how do you properly go mudding/trailing with traction control

I try to go mudding the other day and play in a field to give my 4lo a work out since it was grinding on the engagement. Well it was a lot slicker then i remembered when i had my tacoma (also after the fact i remembered the almost rediculous weight difference...) But with 4lo on and nothing else engaged you cannot gas it you just end up getting stuck:( {i have a 2007 4runner sport i cant turn anything off too:/}
so once i got stuck and ran back to my house i grabbed my moms 2012 white runner and was ready to pull mine out without getting hers dirty.... well i miss judged and i was actually about twice the distance i thought it was so i gave my runner one more try. On my way into my runner i saw this button

What does this do?

Once i turned it on i was actually able to spin my tires and rocked it 3 times then strait floored it out of the 100 yard mud field it was so much fun and was an awesome power slide, i wish i had a video!

When you locked your center in diff in 4lo you also turned off the part of the system that cuts throttle when it detects wheel spin and turned on ATRAC, which helps manage traction in of road situations.
