I just saw my 06' 4Runner come off the truck this evening and will pick it up tomorrow...YEY. BUT, the passenger side mirror has a pretty good size chip in the paint where it was obviously hit by something during transit. SO, the dealership is going to try and buff it out in the morning and do what they can. The chip is about 1/8" in diameter (I know, not that big). But, it is a brand new vehicle, and it shouldnt have any chips. So, if the dealer cant buff it out and make it look acceptable (which they may add some touch up paint to the chip), should I have them replace the whole mirror? How hard is it to remove the mirror and replace with another? I dont want them taking off my door panel and possibly compromising something that may start rattles down the road. Can you take the mirror off without removing the door trim, panel, or anything else? If so, I may just have them replace the mirror completely. I still love my new runner though
