How do you reset the check engine light on a 97 3.4L Toyota

It came on and it was time for a tune up anyway.

I changed all the plugs, cleaned the MFS, replaced all the filters ect...

I would like to reset the light and see if it comes on again, if so, I will have to get a diagnostics tool and see what I can find out.

I just hate having the vehicle tied up at the dealer and spending lots of $$ while it is there.

Any help is appreciated.

How many miles are on the motor? It may be the O2 sensor. I had to replace mine around 80K. I ended up having to take it to the dealer because the one I bought from NAPA didn't keep the CEL from staying off. The only way to know what the codes are for the CEL can be gotton by using a ODB reader.

just pull out the efi fuse or disconnect the battery
