The dealer told me it's pretty limited and I was luck to get it at MSRP.Which I paid and was the only time I have ever paid MSRP. I know he was full of it. But being only one of two in a 500 mile radius that was in inferno. In the end I am happy I bought it, but I hate feeling like I got screwed.
How limited is the TRD PRO Inferno?

Nothing is as limited at the Tacoma. They made very few of them.
Tundras 3500
4Runner 3000
Tacomas 1000
Assuming (just a guess) that they made the same number of each color, that means there are 1000 of your 4runner on the road.... But even if half of them were inferno... That is VERY limited.

Where did this number come from. According to a corporate rep at the last FJ summit, they were expecting the inferno to be the most popular color.

I know Canada and Taiwan both get US Spec 4Runners, but I would really like to see a breakdown from where you guys are getting your information.
You most likely didn't get the best deal on the truck, but plenty of people have posted on here about dealers holding out for MSRP... you certainly didn't get roasted on the deal.

Canada doesn't get the TRDP for either Taco, 4R or Tundra. Pity, it is.
But Inferno is the best colour, no doubt a bit of a collector's item 25 years hence.

MSRP isn't bad according to most of the folks that have bought them around here. They are cool no doubt, the inferno red, if you loved the color really seems to be the only real reason for buying one.
Some truth to that, the paint is the only thing that really defines it as a TRDP everything else is either stick-on or bolt-on.
In 25 years collectable in a serious sense only if you keep it garaged, drive it infrequently, don't drive it in the winter, keep the birds from crapping on it... and especially avoid parking in parking lots

We have to remember these get shipped to other countries besides ours. The first large production batches of Landcruisers don't even make it to USA soil...they go to the Arab Emirates due to the high demand over there.

No doubt! I have had my eye out for a pre 74' fj40, the ones that aren't bondo-buckets are just too stoopid expensive for me. I would settle with almost any FJ75 pickup of I could find/afford one...even in inferno red
