How many 65+ (elderly by definition) 5th gen 4Runner owners on this forum?

I'm 72 now. 4Runner is a 2019 Off Road Pro with KDSS.
Was looking at several cars but bought the 4Runner because it was the easiest for me to get in and out of. Old school port injected V6 charm didn't hurt either.

I was at an auto parts store turning in my used oil and one of the clerks said he'd bet I'd done a lot of oil changes. I told him this was my first one. Always used to go to the quick change shops, but I owned a 4Runner now. He said yeah they make it easy

Also looking at a MillerCat skid for the catalytic converters since we had two converters stolen on my block in the last few months.

80 last month and just traded the FJ cruiser for a new 4 runner and outfitted it with rock sliders, wildpeaks and a 2 inch lift. Over winter will be putting on a rack, RTT and awning. No other major mods anticipated, just lots of offroad adventures..

That’s awesome. You went right to it. The 4Runner is noticeably larger inside, and more comfortable and quieter. Enjoy.

This is embarrassing and rewarding at the same time. How many of you are 65+ on this forum?

I am 65, turning 66 in a few months and retiring also. Here is a pic of myself and my 8 year old from a couple months ago.

Doing more mods to do more off roading and camping next year. My son loves it.

Bringing this thread back to life. Turned 67 on Friday and had a small party at Bob’s in Burbank. My hoodie is my first car from 50 years ago.
Any other 65+ members want to chime in.

I'm only 72, almost 73. I still do my own maintenance and recently bought a second 4Runner, a TRD ORP in Barcelona Red for my spouse. I enjoy driving a Salsa Red 2011 Trail with a 1-inch front lift which is enough for me at my age.

They are real snakeskin. Not allowed for sale in California. They’re about 5 years old, not elderly, and I wear them about once a year.

I’m 68 and retired. I bought my first 4RUNNER in November- A pre-owned, certified 2022 SR5 Premium 4WD. LOVE IT!

Previous Toyotas I’ve owned over the years are: 1978 Celica GT Hatchback, 1985 Celica GTS Hatchback, 1987 Supra, 1988 Camry, 1993 Camry, 1995 Lexus ES300, 2006 Tundra SR5 Double Cab 4WD, and now my 2022 T4R.
