How many miles on stock tires

Just wondering how many miles you guys drove before replacing your stock tires. I have had mine on for 37k miles and they are almost totally bald.

I had 60,000 miles on the stock Cross Terrains and could have easily gotten another 10,000, maybe more. I only replaced them because I noticed some little dry-rot cracks in the tread, plus I was more than satisfied to have gotten 60,000 miles out of them.

22,200 on the stock Bridgestones.

I probably have another 10,000 before they are bald, but I will most likely replace them before winter hits. ( and maybe lift it too)

Almost 50k on my Michelin CT's and they still have 60% tread left! That's even with towing a 5k lb trailer from AZ to Cal and back once, going offroad and playing in the snow every winter.

79,000 on Michelin Cross Terrains. I'll probably replace them in a couple of months. I'm glad I made the dealer swap out the Dunlops and give me Michelins from another 4Runner.

I got 49,000 on the stock Dunlops and still had a couple thousand left but replaced them all when I pretty much ruined one tire (large metal screw in it).

By far most report much less mileage from the Dunlops but every once-in-a-while you read of someone getting 50K+ out of 'em. Not sure why that is. My driving is about 70% city.

I have noticed that they are not the best when raining, they have a tendency to hydroplane, maybe it's just me!

I got my '03 runner SE with 67K on it with the stock Dunlops. Now it has 69K and I think it'll go until about ~75K or so.

Stock Tires


I have almost 14,000 miles on the stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T skins, and they still look pretty good.

Since I leased my 4Runner for 3 years/36k miles, I hope they are "good enough" to pass muster when I turn the vehicle back into the local stealership at lease's end.

Of course, I should expect a 17-inch truck tire to last at least 40k.....right?

36K on my stock Cross Terrains and they look like they'll go at least another 25-30K before they'll need to be replaced. That's with about a 50/50 mix of local and highway driving and rotating all 5 tires every 5K when I change the oil.

I replaced the stock 'floppies after about 7,000 miles, in the dead of winter. Hated them. Worst tires EVER!!

I had 16k miles on my 16" Bridgestone H/T's before I dumped them for 17" rims/tires. Those Bridgestones looked like they could've lasted another 20k miles when I took them off. My Cross-Terrains have 37k miles and still have a lot of tread left.
