How many of you upgraded your sound system?

I am planning to upgrade my sound system and wanted to see if people went with the OEM Audio Plus, different aftermarket system, or just left it stock and why did you go with that system?

Is it "stock" if you keep the head unit but upgrade speakers, sub and amp? Or is it aftermarket?

I have OEM Audio Plus. Definitely enjoy mine and enjoy the longer road trips, especially solo, much more than before it. Don't have the subwoofer though, and imagine the bass especially would be much nicer with it. Might add it later on.

I have the original, single-sub, single-amp OEM Audio+ system and I think it sounds fantastic, even at very high levels.

I really want to upgrade my system, but $2500 for the OEM is too much. Thought about replacing the speakers, but without an amp not sure how much that would improve it.

I’m no audiophile, but I found the stock non-JBL system to be terrible. I upgraded the tweeters to the Subaru ones, the front door 6x9’s to some mid/high level infinity speakers, and the back door and lift gate to the matching infinity speakers. No amp, yet, and the sound quality is a million times better. Also put a smallish sheet of dynamat behind each speaker on the door.

You don’t realize how bad the stock system is till u upgrade. And when you take out the stock speakers you will be amazed sound ever came out of them and shocked Toyota could be so cheap on a $40k vehicle.

I went balls out. Headunit , DSP ( digital sound processor) two amps running component 3 ways in the front and component two ways in the rear and a ten inch sub. Very clean sound. JL audio for the sub and amps, Helix DSP and Morel speakers.

I recently installed rockford fosgate punch speakers all around, a kicker amp and that RS p-300 12 inch amped box with a pioneer nex head unit. All I can say is wow! Sounds so clear at any volume with some deep smooth clean bass. It's not gonna shake the ground or win any comps, but it really does sound awesome, and I got it for way cheaper than that OEM system.

I chose OEM audio plus kit with subwoofer and amp / audio processor. The sound is 10X better than it was, its SUCH an improvement. I thought it was just my old deaf ears not adjusting well to the new truck with the stock speakers in it, but once I put in the OEM audio plus kit the stock deck and audio adjustments shine. The only thing I would change about it is maybe adding another sub later. The sub is discreet and out of the way, and I can make my neighbors hear it if I want to.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the speaker upgrades from OEM Audio and add on the amp & woofer at a later time. Wish there was a demo in my area so I can listen to it first before placing the order.

Did stock head unit, infinity kappa's in all the doors, JL's in the dash and Alpine sub/amp under the seat. Light years different.

Just need help locating some full range inputs, for my Fix 86.

Metra dosen't have a current updated harness and I don't really want to avoid cutting/splicing into any wires.
