I Guess this is the first 4x4 this "mechanic" has ever driven. His mechanic skills are worse than his english. We should send him an invite.

Since I own a TE, and not a Limited, I had to go google what that knob does, and this is what I found ...
They had the knob in the middle position, H4L, so the center diff was locked, while driving around in the parking lot. So it would be like putting the transfer case in H4 on a TE. And then putting the knob in L4L would be like putting a TE in 4L. H4F has no match on a TE.
Sorry if it comes across as a know-it-all, I DON'T, I was asking my self how was the vehicle binding if they got it in H2, the answers being, a) no such thing on a Limited and b) they don't have the knob on the correct setting for dry pavement.

And this, my friends, is why AWD CUVs have displaced SUVs. People can't be bothered to understand the $40k chunk of metal prior to piloting it. Reading the manual is too much.
