How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

sold my 15 Pro 3 months ago to purchase a house. Jus came across a quicksand that was on a non toyota lot and decided to inquire. it has 1100 miles on it and I'm getting it for 38882 after fees and taxes its 42810 otd. My house closes soon so i couldn't do any financing yet i jus put down 1k for them to hold it for me until my house closes.

Shopping 2016 Limited

Love the 2016 Black Limited, have my eye on a few, will post my price, dealers around here a little out my range, no hurry, hoping prices come down a little. CarMax offering the best dollars for my 2005 V8, no surprise there.

Just picked one up 3 weeks ago, payed $38,000 plus NY taxes for a Trail Premium with remote start, all weather mats and running boards. The MSRP was $42,000 and I really didn't care to wait since I am planning on keeping it for a long time.

Hello, longtime lurker 1st time poster.

What should I be shooting for with a Trail non-prem with KDSS? Lowest I'm able to get is about $1200 off. That doesn't seem very good to me considering I keep seeing Trail Premiums with stickers in the 40's going in the 38's on this thread.

Getting the same song and dance.. 'They don't last. Trail Non-prem+KDSS is rare. Premium+KDSS much easier to find, etc..'

A lot depends on the city, or region, you are shopping in. $1200 does seem weak, unless you are on the west coast. I am picking up my TEP with KDSS next week for $38,750 before TTL. I could have got $38,500 if I wanted a different color. I did not shop for non-premium with KDSS so I cannot comment on how difficult they are to find. It did require some time and effort to get below $39k and I do have to travel to get the one I want.

You just have to try as many dealerships as you can and remember that each one is different. For instance, I am going to Denver to get mine, which seems to be a difficult area to negotiate. I tried a couple dealers in that area and all were at least $1k more than what I am getting mine for and not willing to deal. I was getting ready to purchase one from another state when I gave one more Denver dealer a try and they had two in transit a couple weeks out. One was already spoken for and they were willing to deal on the other as long as I guaranteed delivery by the end of the month. So I figured they were trying to get their volume up for whatever reason.

This thread has been very helpful to me. I went back and found the lowest prices people have paid for the build I wanted and used that as my goal price range. Patience and determination are needed for sure. And remember that 5-7% off MSRP should usually be your goal.

Where are some of the better dealerships to look if you want a TEP with all the options? Here in the south it's quite complicated. No one stocks or allocates these to the SE region.

No knowledge on dealers, but I've looked at Gulf States supply and she'll probably get the best deal on the white/pearl. Seems like every dealer has that in stock. Other colors are less easy to find.

Gray/redwood Limited 3rd row 4x4, Louisiana, $44,000. Probably could have done better if I had been a little more patient, but local dealers had nothing in stock that interested me so I had to go pretty far to find what I wanted. In the end, pleased with the deal I got and excited about my first 4Runner.

Try Seth Cook at Atkinson Toyota in Bryan. After contacting five or six dealers I drove from west Texas on a friend's recommendation and got exactly what I wanted at a good price with excellent customer service. They even overnighted the plates so we could go on a road trip without the dealer tags on it. My local dealer can learn a lot from them!

If you go with Seth, tell him Eric and Sally appreciated working with him.

That's very true. A silver Trail was very hard to find, as was a non-Premium Trail.
