How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

So the girlfriend and I are prepping to move from California to Texas in the next couple of months and I am curious what people paying to register their 5th gens in TX.

CA DMV just charged me $311 for my 2016 and I am curious what the overall cost would be in Texas after everything is taken into consideration; safety inspection, DMV fees, any other associated fees.

Thanks in advance.

When I lived in TX it was something like $62/year plus inspections when they were due. It wasn't bad at all. MUCH better than the ridiculous amounts I paid in CA.

First Post! Closed a deal on my FIRST T4R. '14 SR5 4x4 with 16k miles, fully loaded with options except sunroof and heated seats for 32k! (Didn't really need 3rd row seating- but hey, it's a perk) Guy on the lease brought it in to dealer 1 week ago and barely drove it. Original MSRP was $37,5k Brand spankin' new... hope I made the right decision, but happy to be apart of the fam! Came from a '10 Wrangler Unlimited.... ****Now where to buy BFG Ko2s with black letter sidewall, online!!?!?****

Was $32k OTD or purchase price plus taxes later?

And as an FYI the KO2s all have black and white sidewalls. It's however you prefer to have them mounted ;)

I just agreed to $37,979 for a 2016 Trail Premium with KDSS. Due to be built on November 30th. Flying to Chicago to pick it up. This will be the 4th vehicle I have purchased in Chicago and my second 4Runner Trail. Much better prices than Detroit area.

Purchase plus taxes and fees. MSRP was $30,995. Found it while doing my daily search... it was at this particular dealer for 6 days. And No way! I probably should've thought that out more... totally forgot you can mount them with the white letters facing inside....

Thought I could get a black friday deal- nope.

Trail MSRP 39.1k. Got it for 37.7k and OTD is 40k. They were firm on price all the way through and I guess being the only Toyota dealership in Hawaii, they can do that.

2016 gray SR5 4wd. 3rd row, premium audio, carpet mats. $37.7k sticker, paid $35.5k plus tax. Got $5k for a trade worth maybe $3k and got them to throw in a set of factory all weather floor liners. No fantastic local deals to be had around here on a stripped down SR5 with a 3rd row. Enormous local hail storm has everybody upgrading and these things are only on the lot for about a week.

Not new. Bought a CPO 2015 TRD Pro in Inferno. $32k plus tax.
Downside is that it's got 77k on the clock. Which, coming from a 4th Gen with 228k, doesn't bother me whatsoever.

Just so I'm still a little on-topic:
I was 50/50 between new and CPO, but getting a TRDP at this price in Inferno (my preferred color), being CPO, made the decision easy.

2016 Trail Edition Premium, Metallic Grey. No other options. $37,365 + TTL = 40,129.09 drive out, delivery last week. Sterling McCall in Houston. Basically willing to give me the $792 "Base Vehicle Holdback" on their Vehicle Inquiry print out. This vehicle configured in the online web build showed a MSRP of $39,840 for my region. So approx 7% off MSRP. There were no special financing or programs available through Toyota for this vehicle at the time of purchase, and the dealer financing office was quite unresponsive. Got 3% "good customer/credit" money at Wells Fargo.

My salesman Bert Mann was great. As little BS as the regime lets him get away with. He was able to find this model/color on inbound ship and get all "port" installed options deleted. I had to wait a couple of weeks. If you want to buy a T4R in Houston, ask for him. Be patient, it pays.

I should note for the records, that I shopped for used. Hertz had some 4wd 2015 SR5's (non premium) with 40+K miles for no-haggle in the $28.5K range. A 2016 with 11K miles for $32.5K. Those were about the best deals on a recent-low miles used T4R in the Houston area.

I had a 15 Acura TLX that I traded in for a 16 super-white TEP. The sunroof was an absolutely must for me, ever since I was a kid. Anyways, we agreed on $40K as the selling price (I took a small hit for my Acura) and it came with KDSS. I was impartial to the KDSS but absolutely fell in love with it in the short 2.5 weeks that I owned it. Here in SoCal the super-white TEP are unicorns - they are real hard to come by. Plus, I was hunting this combo down for over 6 months. All in all, I felt that the price was fair.

The window sticker MSRP was $39,164.00 on my new 2016 SR5 Premium 4x4, Super White w/ Sand Beige Softex plus add-ons of carpet mats and cargo mat. I purchased it on October 30, 2016 for $36,124.50 + TTL of $2,528.72, or OTD of $38,653.22.

Mountain States in Denver sold us an SR5 Premium for $3K off of the sticker. Best deal I could find in Colorado. No commission added to the sale either.

First 4Runner and learned a lot from looking at this thread/forum for past few months. 2016 Gray TEP w/ KDSS just picked up this past weekend for $39,621+TTL. Excited to be back in my own SUV again.

Offer from dealer for '16 TEP w/ KDSS, remote start and roof rack. $39770. Add TRD wheels for $600. After reviewing this thread this offer seems reasonable. Thoughts?
