How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

I think I answered this already, back in '09.

Anyway, I'm the original owner.

'97, Anthracite Metallic, V6, 4wd, SR5, 5-speed, E-locker, factory Oak leather, Moonroof, Premium sound, larger optional wheels, tires, and brakes.

Approx. 124K miles

MSRP was $33k+

I paid $31,100.00 OTD with all fees, taxes, etc. included.
 
Purchased mine on 4/6 for $5500.

2000 SR5 4WD w/ 167k and supposedly well maintained until I had a close call recently... http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/197804-p0171-disaster-please-help.html

Thankfully it was fixed with only about 2hrs of time and about $200 in parts, however, I need a new passenger side exhaust manifold which I'm gonna put off for now as it runs fine now that the air leak/MAF issue as well as blown coil and bad plugs have been addressed.

Just picked up an '00 for $2700. It had just had a full service and the owner didn't pay the bill so I got it from the mechanic who had a lean on it. It was obviously a work truck before, the interior isn't perfect, but I'm OK with it, its not too bad. It needed front brake rotors/pads and I rebuilt the calipers. Other than that I haven't touched anything mechanically yet.

I've already posted this pic but here it is again for reference.

2002 4runner SR5 4WD with leather and moonroof, 87k miles. Bought it summer of 2009 for $11k with a 3yr/36k mile ext warranty. Used the warranty for 3 rear axle seals, a new radiator (broke even on the warranty).

Now have 135k miles on it and it's running great.
 
I bought mine with 180k, 5spd manual for 4k in July of this year. I really need to take some actual pictures of it though, this is the best i have for now

I bought mine 3 weeks ago for $500! It's a fully loaded, silver, 2000 Limited that has 148K miles on her. The gal, who sold it to me, didn't know what she had and just wanted to get an extra parking space. The truck is in MINT condition - besides the leather on the front seats. They are pretty much gone.. But, other than that:

Looks like it's in good shape. Looks like an SR5 Sport Edition without the running boards. Great price! Just make sure you do all the preventive maintenance right away. If you search on the forum you'll see that LBJ's and Radiator are one of the highest priorities. Next on the list would be the TB and water pump. We'll see you around the Portland area.

Customer did not do regular oil changes and blew her motor. So I bought the Title for 400$

1100$ for a used engine with 100k miles (toyota maintained and clean!)

The inside of that truck was disgusting...if you ever wanna know what 15 years of Coca cola and high fructose corn syrup look like...:barf:


But its been a nice truck, got a lot of things done to it and I have a lot more planned. So glad because the last truck I had was a 2WD 2002 Chevy Blazer. So this was a MAJOR upgrade and I can't see life without this truck now. :plane:
 
I got a 1999 silver Limited this summer. $10K
106K miles--80k on the rig by 2005 and then owned by a little old lady who put the rest on in ten years. Mostly garaged and good tires. Had Pacific Rim Auto in Seattle do about 1K of little things on it and they said it's now in excellent shape. (Except for the terrible gas mileage!)

The man around the house just bought a 1997 green automatic (not ltd...cloth seats/no sunroof and those terrible cup holders) for 5K with 125K miles on it. One owner.

Hope we did well!

I had a little bit of junk like that in the center console. Lucky I found a steam cleaner in my parents basement and blasted everything away! I love that little machine.

The engine was just serviced, new timing belt, water pump, plugs, oil, etc. I definitely need to do the front end though, I've got all new suspension for it so when I lift it I'll do that stuff too. See ya around hopefully.

Makes me want to go change my oil... That's the worst I've seen!

Maintenance is key to success with this truck!
 
$5400 for a 99 limited 3.4 4x4 136K 8/12 in Georgia. I drove it out to Colorado and increased the value by $2000. Everyone loves third gens out here.

Bought this 97 sr5 for $3,500 this past year, interior is almost flawless except a small tear in the drivers seat. 198,000 miles

Downside is the previous owner flipped it onto the driver side turning too fast, didn't cause nearly as much damage as it should have, but it took a little pretty off.
I love it though.
