'00 Highlander w/124K miles and 5-spd manual tranny (no locker). Came equipped with a Revtec 3" lift and freshly done timing belt/water pump and rear main seals. Paid $8K in CO to the 2nd owner.

$2995 for a 1996 V6 5-speed 4WD SR5 with 265,000 miles. Strong engine. The body was 9 out of 10. No hail damage which is surprising in Colorado. It also had new timing belt, water pump and brakes. The starter was bad and the tranny would not stay in first gear so I expected to put money into it.
I replaced the starter contacts myself (after reading the posts here of course) but the tranny had to be rebuilt. It wasn't just the shifter seat. While they had it apart I had the clutch replaced. So I put $1600 in it.
Now it runs great and it should be good for another 250,000 miles. Now if I can only get a locker.

Glad to hear you have such faith in the 3.4! However....I wouldn't plan on it making over 500,000 miles without needing rebuilt. If you make it, that would be awesome, but I've only ever seen upper 300's on the 3.4's before they need attention.

I got my 2000 for 5600, with 104k miles, needed new tires is all.
Got some new rims (17inch) and tires(275 65 17), (tires not shown) new LED taillights, still working on the rest.($$$)

Today I got my 2000 limited, 102k, very clean with the locker for 9950. I think I could have gotten a little more but I was satisfied with that and not spending the day haggling.

I put 330,000 on a '92 Chevy Lumina 3.1V6.
Actually we bought this 4runner to see if we liked going off road. We love it. We may sell this one in a couple of years. If I had your 4runner I would keep it forever!

Sounds identical to mine (except I have a rusty undercarriage), cept I paid 7700. I will probably be about to 9900 once I get done cleaning up the undercarriage.

$2600 for my 1997 SR5 4wd 5spd with 170k miles and completely stock at the time. i have about 4800 into it with all the mods and maintenance and the purchase price :hungry:

I bought a 97 SR5 4wd automatic last year. Mine had about 170k at the time. I didn't get as good a deal as you, but still good: $3600.
