How much gas can you fit in your 4runner..and how far can you go?

You guys are strange. When it gets low I put 20$ in it. Then I drive around until it gets low again and put another 20$ in. Never filled it and have never figured out gas milage.

Try putting $40 in next time. You'll be amazed at how far you can drive without stopping for fuel!

I'm honestly so busy with 4 kids that I avoid filling up until I have to. It's a game with me but I have never been brave enough to try making it to 400 miles again.

Your tires are bigger than stock, so one revolution of the axle is now taking you further than the odo thinks. 33's are about 8% bigger in circumference than stock tires, so increase your miles traveled by 8%. That will boost your mpgs a little.
But remember, 33's are also heavier and eat up your engine torque to get them moving which means more fuel consumed.

I'm just driving easy city driving too so no high way... not sure if that factors to much I mean if the trucks are rated for 15/19 city/highway then I guess mine is about on the money... with the 33" tires could be why I'm getting 4 miles less a gal.

I get about 15/19 so id say 17 combined. Ive gone almost 360-375
Miles if its all free way driving though but i drive only 70 mph and soft braking. If i wanted to save money on gas id get a prius...

Are you on stock tires? And trust me I didn't get this 4runner for gas savings... it's just the fact that I feel something is wrong if I'm getting 165 a tank and others are getting 300+

I completely understand what you mean. No im running 275/70/17 bfg ko2 e rated tires. I actually avg about 240-260 city/freeway though. The highest ive ever got was 360+ driving from the bay area to La, ca.
