How to cut the hole for your deckplate. Opinions.

So i was gonna use a 4inch hole saw but i dont have one and i dont wanna run to home depot right now. Whats some other ways you all have cut the hole out of the air box

I drilled two holes using a 1/2'' dril bit(at top and bottom), and then used a handheld jigsaw...took about 30 seconds...a little messy, but hidden by the flange.

The whole? You mean hole correct?

Jigsaw, Dremel, even sawzaw, if you have a 4" blade and are adroit enough to attempt such. A sheet rock saw will work in a pinch.

I used a jigsaw, then cleaned up with sandpaper and a file. Dont forget the sealant so you can actually make it water tight.

A Routing Bit on the Dremel, both times. Makes short work of it and it comes out nice and clean.

My brother and I traced the deckplate then got a drill and drilled like 50 small holes around the circle, then wacked it with a hammer a few times and then used a dremel/sandpaper to clean it up haha. The saw is in storage.

I used a Dremel with one of the cheap cutoff wheels. Plastic kind of flew everywhere so wear glasses but it got the job done!

Thanks guys, i believe ill go get me a Dremel tmr and get it cut out. I took out the airbox today and cleaned it up and i will cut the hole and seal it up and put it back on. Ill post pics of the finished product in my build thread for anyone interested.
