How to fix the ghetto lean

Hey all, fairly new to the forum, got a '90 4R 4x4 5spd with a 22re out of a '95 in it. Recently I noticed its leaning fairly significantly towards the passenger side (about 2 in difference in height).

Honestly not real sure if this has just recently happened, or if I bought it like that. If it's the latter, then i'm kickin myself for not noticing it after I went through everything else so thoroughly. The shocks are pretty old, but most of the front suspension seems to be in great shape.

What could be the causes of this, and how should I go about fixing it?
I was thinkin it may just be the torsion bars, and if so, anybody have any tips for adjusting them?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

In all seriousness, on here (or more specifically yota tech), look up the 'zuk mod' or wait, you've a 90. Damnit. Nvm. Is it sagging more in front or rear? OME springs, perhaps?

Most of the time that lean is caused from the gas tank. There's a lot of weight that is held on the right rear due to the gas. I would try to replace the factory springs or upgrade them with a lift kit.

At the top of this section is a sticky for the FSM. Download the fsm that pertains to your 4runner and go from there to either adjust your torsion bars or replace your springs.

haha, the heaviest girl i let sit in the passenger seat is my dog, and shes barely breakin 50. girlfriends seat is in the cargo area.

and thanks, gonna get a chance to crawl up under her (the yota) this weekend so i'll see what I can't do to tweek the torsion bars. sadly as a full time student up to my a$$ in debt, a lift isn't in the cards just yet (unless anyone has some old springs layin around that they just can't stand to look at anymore)
