You can pull the chrome on fenders off and you can pull the chrome around lights and use plasti dip.
I just did my front bumper.

You can easily remove the tail light lenses, tape off the housing, and paint the edge whatever color you want.
I was thinking of going all black with my chrome, but ultimately I decided maybe black out a few things and leave it be. Strangely enough, the black wheels I put on really changed the contrast of the whole look, really offset the chrome, at least in my opinion.

Plastiderp is good if your runner doesnt see much offroad, there have been waaaaaaayyyy too many times I've seen it used and a tree branch or even washing off some serious mud pull it off too or cause it to peel. It doesnt come off easy after that happens too.
When I did my Tacoma, I used rattle can bedliner or paint for it. Liked the rattle can bedliner so much i did the rocker panels

On my new runner I would rather vinyl wrap the chrome rather than use plastiderp
never been a huge fan after seeing what happens to it after a few trips on the trail.

Any kind of paint will scratch when I tree scratches it. Bedliner is best way to go. But spendier.

Yep, got that right. I just did my bumpers, grill, skidplate and mirrors using 1 1/2 cans of the bedliner and it looks great.

Ghost, what brand did you use for the rattle can spray? I used some plasti dip on my wheels, chrome mirrors, and emblems but may end up trying the bed liner spray if that doesn't hold up. I'm thinking of doing my chrome bumpers but haven't yet as I figured the plasti wouldn't last too long on them and thinking of trying bed liner. Thanks

I have heard some bad things about the spray on bedliner. This one seems to have the best reviews.

This stuff right here. You can buy it at Home Depot, Lowes, and walmart, its getting to be just about everywhere. At Walmart it isnt in the paint section its in the automotive section. Works amazing. I had a thick tree branch run across it out on the trail and it just sanded it down. It is a runny spray, so from a good distance away and if you do get a run, dont fret when it dries it will disappear almost completely. I recommend doing a trial paint on some random thing from your garage so you get how it works.

I have used both. The roll on stuff works well but it goes on uneven. The rattle can goes on and has the look and feel of sandpaper and is incredibly even.
