How To: Toyota OEM LED Fog Lamp Installation

Does anyone know if led fogs from 2021 will fit a 2018?

For my 18 ORP I got the Toyota OEM LED foglights from Amazon, PT413-42190 Fog Light (Chrome). They look like the ones pictured in post #42. Before installing I applied yellow lamin-x, purchased directly from the manufacturer, sku:T147. It’s a little larger than the lamin-x covers for 4Runner and fits these light perfectly. The fogs and lamin-x both were described as intended for Tundra.

I see you took the most cost effective approach, film, rather than yellow led bulbs, because of the only slight visibility increase in yellow vs white. That was what I was trying to point out to folks before spending $s on yellow bulbs.

Curious why you did not go with the article recommended tape.

I tried the kapton tape, ran it for a while, and it works well. But I wanted the better performing, brighter output, and wider spread of the Toyota LED fog lights. A big upgrade for not much money.

Ok but why Laminx on the new lights instead of kapton tape????

If I had a 3 inch roll of kapton I would have. But I only had a 1.5 inch roll of the 1mil tape on hand and the seam kind of bothered me from an OCD standpoint. Plus the Lamin-x was thicker at 12mil and cost only about $15. Either method works.
