How was your day, I smell like a fire place

Right next door, if it was any closer, we'd be connected. The Child Care Center next to us caught on fire. Every one made it out ok but it was a big ugly, smokey, quick starting fire that lasted about an hour!

Thank goodness every one is ok!

By contrast, us in the Mid-Atlantic received early morning freezing rain which turned to rain/light freezing rain. Closed schools though.

I'm glad all the children are safe. I would probably sh*t golden acorns if I learned my daughter's preschool was on fire. I got a gallon of Febreeze if you need it cweta37. Is that the one in Tiburon? I saw it on the news.

On a better note, I had sweet and sour chicken over rice for lunch and just brushed my teeth. I now smell like happiness.

all the Children were, fine, the amazing staff evacuated before they did anything else! the parents and kids were all a little scared but every one was ok.

We made the local news! a whole 30 seconds!

Yeh, we had a lot of scared moms n dads at the child center. I spoke to a lot of them while doing traffic control. It was the one in Tiburon, on the news! I had one dad and he drove right at me and he was dead serious " my daughter is in there" I explained that everyone had been evacuated well before the danger really started and that all the kids were at the elementry school next door (across a large field, far from the fire). So many lil cryin kids, it was sad, they got pretty scared and some were excited, some just wanted a sticker. They were all so cute! I like it when the only sad part in a story like this one is that they need a new place to learn. I'm glad no one was hurt and we had help from CHP and Belvedere... and there were about 12 fire trucks. Lots of people helpin out. Makes me very proud of what I do!
