Hunter Brushgaurd

Hey all! I just Installed my hunter brushgaurd on a 97 4runner. There where Two black brackets that came with the kit and are supports midway up just below the bumper. I can't see where they bolt up other than a hole ontop of the frame rale you can see looking straight down in front of the radiator. The brushgaurd looks awesome and is on there really sturdy but it vibrates with the rougher road surfaces. My last hunter bullbar did the same thing causing the lights on it to shake and was annoying. I can't imagine this will be any better once the lights are on. Can anyone chime in if most brushgaurd westin, go rhino etc have more than one mounting point other than the bottom? And if shaking is normal. In sure if I can figure out how to mount the middle brackets it will help but I can't imagine it will still eliminate it. Thx guys

yeah those other brackets are L shaped right? i had some but never used them and just accepted the slight shaking back and forth.

they are used to drill new holes in your bumper and bolt the brush guard to the bumper half way up. it sucks and i didnt want to drill any holes in my bumper. so drill holes = no shaking, no holes in your bumper = shaking.

thats what it comes down to.

I had no idea what they were for when I installed mine either. I assumed they were for the Tacoma's. LOL.

I figured out where they went after I already dremeled out insert on the lower valance of the bumper and the bottom of the frame for the included long bolts to go through! Then to find out the dam brackets didnt even reach/fit.. What a joke. I'm gonna have to go have a fabricator/metal shop make me some to fit. Only thing is I'm not quite sold after paying someone to do that the shaking will be any better or secure. I'd like to firm it up, as it sits I'm embarrassed to even turn on my lights as they'll be shaking all over the place.
