Husky floor liner issue with locking tabs

Has anybody figured out how the heck you are supposed to lock down the Husky floor liners in the driver and passenger floorboard? The twist locks do not come through the floor liner far enough to be able to twist them and lock into place. Anybody have any insight?

Mine are useless as well. For some reason the passenger mat didn't have any holes, just the driver side. I can make the tabs click in but they come out very easily. I'm not really worried about it and I wish they didn't even bother with the holes/clips.

Edit: my clips are different. Mine go thru the top of the mat and are supposed to clip into the holes in the floor.

I can get one twisted per mat. I think the problem is the amount of material for the posts. It just keeps them from twisting, so I think I can dremel them out and it should be fine.

I had to work at mine a bit, but I was able to finally get them secured down. I actually ended up using a small pliers to pull up and turn the twist-lock mechanism while at the same time pushing down on the mat to get the the twist-lock up far enough to clear the mat and lock it in place.

You won't need to use a lot of force with the pliers... just enough to get the twist lock up far enough to turn and lock in place.

Been very happy with my Husky Liners thus far. Good luck.

Mine were not even close to fitting properly straight out of the package.... Had to remove the top/bottom pieces and shave down the thickness of the interior plastic to make them 'lower' when put over the twisty clips on the floor.. Used pliers to pull up and twist.. They fit extremely tight and cannot be removed by hand.

So much for the "no tool installation"

Thanks guys, I'll try pulling up an twisting with the pliers tomorrow and see if that works.

I had to use pliers on one of the tabs on the passenger side as well. The other tab on the passenger and both on the driver went on easily.
